This handsome Edwardian semi-detached house is situated in the leafy neighborhood of Muswell Hill, North London. The clients approached us to help them reimagine their home to better suit the needs of their growing family, seeking to create a more open, light-filled living space while preserving the property’s charming period character.

We guided the project through the planning process, successfully securing permissions for a rear extension and internal reconfiguration. The design focused on opening up the ground floor, creating a large kitchen and dining area with direct access to the garden, framed by elegant glazed doors.

Internally, we reworked the layout to improve flow between the living spaces, introducing thoughtful storage solutions and restoring key period details where they had been lost over the years. The finishes were carefully selected to combine contemporary touches with a timeless feel, ensuring the home retains its character while offering modern comfort.

The rear garden was also redesigned, enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces and creating a welcoming environment for family life and entertaining. This project transformed the house into a spacious and elegant family home, blending historic charm with thoughtful modern updates.
