0860 – Extension of ground floor garden apartment in Kilburn

This apartment is located in a calm side street in the leafy Kilburn neighbourhood.  It is on the ground floor of an end of terrace building. Each of the buildings has generous rear gardens.

Planning permission

We originally applied for a third bedroom as well as the rear extension to this garden apartment. After several applications the third bedroom has been redesigned. Now it is lit by a beautiful light well from the newly created rear extension.

During construction of this ground floor garden apartment extension and outbuilding in Kilburn we had to battle unusual amounts of rain. This slowed the construction team down. In addition, all services for the remaining apartments above, all of them old, ran through our apartment. The bathroom which is located under the front steps up had to be tanked.

The design will be contemporary as our clients need a lot of space for their artworks and a great outdoor space for alfresco dining and entertaining. The project has been completed in late 2019.
