Description
0600 Contemporary refurbishment of single family residence in Cricklewood
Structural works, new kitchen, new bathrooms, complete refurbishment.
Scope
This magnificent detached property is comfortably situated on a good sized plot, with a large front driveway and an expansive rear garden. When our Clients purchased this property, its back was closed off from the garden by a 1980’s rear conservatory, which we then removed.
The previously small and dark, rear facing rooms on the ground floor were joined up to create a large open space living-kitchen-dining room area, with a large sliding door opening up onto a raised terrace and the garden.
The entrance area is grand, with a good sized staircase now going all the way up into the top floor. Double doors lead into the front reception room, and the former garage was transformed into a small front facing office, a guest WC (the previous guest WC was small and squashed under the stairs), and a generous utility room. The utility room has with enough space for laundry & ironing area, boiler with Megaflo, and the underfloor heating manifold, which heats the entire ground floor.
The first floor has now three bedrooms and a Master Suite.
Since the property was big enough for this young family of four, we did not extend the ground floor further but concentrated on maximising the existing space. We redeveloped the loft and added a rear and side dormer. The top floor has an ensuite bedroom and a large play room for children.
