Our clients own a villa with stunning sea views over Villefranche-sur-mer in the South of France.

The house has been owned by its previous owners for a long time and has a separate apartment on the lower level which originally has not been connected to the house. Our clients asked for this level to be accessible from the rest of the house.

The entrance level features a kitchen with a hidden pantry and wine storage. The top-level will contain the master and guest suite, both with their private terraces overlooking the sea.

The stairs, entrance door, and external glass balustrades, gates, and fences are custom made in Germany, and the kitchen and joinery throughout came from Poland. Kitchen real concrete worktops were custom made in the UK, and sanitary ware and tiles were imported from Italy.

The kitchen presents beautiful real concrete worktops – 4cm thick and very heavy, which gave space and mixed with the warmth of the reflective dark grey fronts and the feature copper-coated bespoke extractor unit. There is a small hidden corridor, accessible through what became known as the “Narnia door” (no copyright infringement intended) into the hidden pantry, which allowed us to give a clean look to the kitchen, but at the same time, provided a useful and functional space, without drawing the attention of the viewer away from the garden and the calmness of the room.

This complete refurbishment of the house, including new render, all new windows and doors, air conditioning, new wiring, plumbing, and bespoke joinery throughout as well as the garden have been completed in late 2019.
