Milan Salone di Mobile 2023

The Salone del Mobile Milano 2023, held from April 18 to 23 at Fiera Milano Rho, marked the 61st edition of the world’s premier furniture and design fair. After pandemic-related disruptions, the event returned to its traditional spring schedule, attracting over 300,000 visitors. The fair featured more than 1,900 exhibitors, including over 550 young talents under 35 and 27 design schools, spread across six hubs: Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Workplace3.0, S.Project, Euroluce, and SaloneSatellite.

We don’t visit this largest trade show in Europe every year, but this year was special. It was decided that some of our team members join us, which made this trip so much more fun but also efficient!  We spend 2 whole days speaking to various suppliers, partially with particular projects in mind, but also to soak in all the inspirations we were lucky to have in one place.

This year’s edition emphasized cross-disciplinary collaboration, integrating architecture, art, and photography into its cultural program. Architect Beppe Finessi led this initiative, aiming to create connections and view the fair as an “ideal city.”  The event also spotlighted education through SaloneSatellite, focusing on the theme “Design School: Building the (im)possible—process, Progress, Practice,” highlighting the role of design schools and universities in shaping the future of design.

We were blessed with great weather and lets face it, visiting Milan by itself is an eye opening experience and a lot of fun!

Here are but a few snap shots from the very many pictures we took during the event :

We were blessed with great weather and lets face it, visiting Milan by itself is an eye-opening experience with plenty of stunning architecture at every corner.  We were joined by our close collaborator from Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Kasia Stefańska, owner of Ambiance Design and our interior design partner Augustine from Studio Augustine.  Plus as an unexpected highlight, we bumped into one of our amazing Clients on the streets of Milan!
