The Foundation – Snohetta Lecture in Warsaw

The Foundation – Snohetta Lecture in Warsaw

The Stefan Kuryłowicz Foundation invited in 2017  to a lecture from the series “From vision to project”, whose speaker was  Jette Hopp from Snøhetta.

“From visions to projects” is a series of lectures, organised since three years by the Foundation. At the invitation of the Warsaw Foundation, renowned architects are invited to hold lectures. The lecture was accompanied by the presentation of the works awarded in the PRACTICE SCHEDULE AND THE COMPETITION THEORY – two Foundation programs addressed to young architects.

On March 23, 2017, Jette Hopp, head of project teams, talked about the philosophy of Norwegian Snøhetta studio and about the sources of their ideas and solutions. It is one of the most creative and best-known architectural and design studios in the world. They are iconic performers, including the famous Alexandrian Library in Egypt, the Oslo National Opera and Ballet and the reindeer observatory in Dovrefjell National Park. Last year’s New York Times Times rebuilding works were completed under the Snøhetty project, which assumed the donation of the entire pedestrian plaza.
